Russians disdain diplomatic efforts of partners and continue to purposefully attack energy facilities.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Zelenskyy, in particular, reported that last night the russian army continued to use strike drones against Ukraine, there were a total of 74 drones, 54 of them were Shaheds.
"There were also strikes against the Odesa and Sumy Regions. Another targeted hit and damage to energy facilities: in the Sumy Region, an FPV drone hit a substation, and in Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, an artillery strike damaged a power line. Almost 4,000 subscribers in two regions were left without electricity due to these strikes," he said.
Zelenskyy added that russian air strikes are also continuing – against the Sumy Region alone, from yesterday to this morning, the russians used almost 50 guided air bombs.
"Such a systematic and constant nature of Russian strikes clearly indicates that Moscow despises the diplomatic efforts of its partners. Putin does not want to ensure even a partial ceasefire. New and tangible pressure on Russia is needed to put this war on a course to completion," he noted.
Zelenskyy urged partners not to delay responding to the actions of the aggressor country.
"We should not wait until April 11, when it will be a month since Russia said "no" in response to the American proposal to cease fire. We need to act as soon as possible. We are ready to work with all our partners in America, Europe and the world in the most constructive way possible to achieve such a necessary result – a worthy and lasting peace," the President noted.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced on March 25 that, following the talks between Ukraine and the United States, and the United States and russia in Saudi Arabia on March 23-25, all parties agreed to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea and to implement a ban on strikes on energy infrastructure.
On March 27, Zelenskyy announced that russia had struck the energy sector in Kherson, and now Ukraine is waiting for the US reaction.
On March 11, Ukraine agreed to accept the US proposal to immediately introduce a temporary, 30-day ceasefire, which can be extended by mutual consent of the parties and upon acceptance and implementation by the russian side.
