The State Savings Bank (Oschadbank) has begun the procedure of collecting the debt asset, namely the capital's Gulliver business center.
This was announced in an interview with Delo.ua by the chairman of the bank's board, Serhii Naumov, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
When asked who Oschadbank's largest problem borrowers are now, he replied that the company-owner of the capital's Gulliver business center has been for a long time.
"Unfortunately, in 2024 the situation worsened. After the Gulliver business center (which is collateral and the only source of repayment of the problem loan, which continued to be partially serviced during the war) was transferred to ARMA by court decision, payments on the loan stopped. There were no payments during the second half of 2024, and there are no payments now. Therefore, Oschadbank has initiated the process of collecting the asset,” Serhii Naumov noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the National Agency of Ukraine for Finding, Tracing and Management of Assets Derived from Corruption and Other Crimes (Asset Recovery and Management Agency, ARMA) rejected the competitive applications of all three participants in the competition for the management of the Gulliver shopping mall.
On March 3, the Kyiv City Economic Court began the procedure for preventive restructuring of LLC "Three O" - the developer and management company of the Gulliver shopping center.
On April 24, 2024, the Prosecutor General's Office initiated the transfer of the Gulliver shopping center from businessman Viktor Polishchuk, owner of the Eldorado chain, to ARMA.
The petition was filed with the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv as part of the Economic Security Bureau (ESB) criminal investigation into tax evasion by the shopping center's management.
On June 3, 2024, the court considered the Prosecutor General's Office petition to transfer the shopping center to ARMA management and granted it as part of the criminal proceedings.
The owner of the Gulliver shopping center is Viktor Polishchuk.
