Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba has announced this.
"I am pleased to welcome the President of the Czech Republic Petr Pavel to Ukraine. We met in the city of Odesa, which is terrorized by Russia every night. It was during our meeting that the Russian Federation launched three groups of shaheeds over the city," the message says.
Kuleba informed that he discussed with the Czech President the effective reconstruction and sustainable development of Ukraine. He also invited Petr Pavel to join the Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held in Rome this summer.

It is noted that they also agreed to expand humanitarian assistance to the affected regions, including the provision of temporary housing for those who lost their homes and support for medical facilities. Together with the heads of the Odesa, Mykolaiv and Kherson Regional Military Administrations, they discussed further direct support for the regions.
In addition, Kuleba discussed with the President of the Czech Republic key issues of shipping safety, the restoration of Ukraine and the development of communities. The focus of the conversation was maritime safety and the challenges of demining territories.
"Since the summer of 2023 alone, Russia has fired more than 450 missiles at the port infrastructure of Ukraine, but today we remain the guarantor of global food security. Since the start of the Ukrainian corridor, our ports have transported 110 million tons of cargo," Kuleba emphasized.
It is recalled that the Czech Republic is a partner in the restoration of communities and regions of Ukraine. In particular, it has taken patronage over the Dnipropetrovsk Region, where it is updating water treatment plants, supplying generators, medical equipment, evacuation buses, and rebuilding schools and hospitals. In the Kyiv Region, it is implementing a large-scale project to modernize the regional children's hospital for over EUR 10 million euros, and dozens of projects in the Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Lviv Regions.

Kuleba emphasized that the Czech Republic is among the leaders of countries that systematically assist Ukraine. Over the three years of the great war, the partner country provided Ukraine with USD 900 million in support – from humanitarian programs to military equipment. In particular, the Neptune anti-ship complexes, made on the basis of Czech Tatra cars, made a great contribution to safety at sea.
"We are grateful to the Czech Republic and personally to President Peter Pavel for their unwavering support for Ukraine in this difficult time. Together we will overcome all difficulties and restore a just peace," he concluded.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the army of the aggressor state russia carried out an air attack on the Odesa Region, which resulted in damage to civilian infrastructure – large-scale fires broke out. Three teenagers were injured.
