An endless war with the expulsion of russians from every centimeter of Ukrainian land, including Crimea, could escalate into World War III.
US National Security Advisor Mike Waltz stated this in an interview with ABC News on Sunday, March 16.
Waltz noted that it is necessary to proceed from the national interests of the United States. According to him, the United States discussed the situation with the Europeans and Ukrainians.
"Are we going to drive every Russian off of every inch of Ukrainian soil, including Crimea? And what the strategy of the Biden administration was, was, as long as it takes, as much as it takes, no matter what the timeline is, which is essentially endless warfare, in an environment that we are literally losing hundreds of thousands of people in a matter of months. And could escalate into World War III," Waltz said.
The National Security Advisor stressed that it is necessary to proceed from the reality of the situation on the ground, and act through shuttle diplomacy and indirect negotiations.
