Since 2022, 42 abducted children from Kherson Region illegally transferred to russian families

From 2022 to 2024, 42 children from the Kherson Region were illegally transferred to russian families.

This is stated in a message on the Telegram channel of the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied territories "Yellow Ribbon".

"When the russians fled from Kherson in the fall of 2022, they kidnapped Ukrainian children from a local shelter. Now they are being held in russian institutions and used in propaganda," it says.

Activists of the "Yellow Ribbon" movement noted that at least ten children from Kherson, abducted by russian invaders, are being held in the "Yolochka" children's institution in the aggressor country of russia. And from 2022 to 2024, according to the occupiers, 42 children from the region were illegally transferred to russian families.

"This is a violent russification and destruction of Ukrainian identity," the activists emphasized.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, eight children were rescued and returned from temporarily occupied Crimea to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

On January 31, two children who had lived their entire lives under russian occupation were returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine.

Ukraine returned 449 Ukrainian children home during 2024, which was achieved thanks to the Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
