President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has expressed condolences to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in connection with the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines flight.
He wrote about this on X.
"More and more details of the terrible crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines flight are emerging. My condolences to the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people," he wrote.
According to him, photos and videos from the crash site eloquently indicate russia's responsibility for the tragedy.
"If Russia continues to spread lies, just as it did in the case of its downing of #MH17, it will be necessary to consolidate all international pressure on Moscow so that the truth is established and the guilty are brought to justice," the President added.
On December 25, an Embraer 190 of Azerbaijan Airlines, operating a flight from Baku to Grozny, crashed at Aktau Airport in Kazakhstan.
There were 67 people on board the plane: 62 passengers and five crew members, at least 38 people were killed.
Budanov said that the plane was shot down by a russian Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile system.
