The Ministry of Defense has codified and approved the WZT-3 armored recovery vehicle for use in units of the Defense Forces.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Defense, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
It is designed to evacuate heavy armored vehicles from the battlefield and repair them in the field.
The WZT-3 armored recovery vehicle was manufactured on the basis of the T-72 tank, instead of the turret, a powerful crane, a winch, an electric welding machine and other equipment for repair were installed.
In addition, the armored recovery vehicle can carry out clearing, carry out earthworks to equip positions.
The WZT-3 is armed with two 12.7 and 7.62 mm machine guns, and tracking systems.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in November, the Ministry of Defense approved for use in the Defense Forces the domestic UAT-TISA armored vehicle, the Pernach remote fire control module, the Zubr all-terrain armored vehicle, and the Vykhor FPV complex.
