France will give Ukraine a new batch of long-range SCALP missiles.
French Defense Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced this in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche.
"We will again supply Mistral missiles, in particular, for the protection of combat zones. And so that Ukraine can strike behind the front line, in the last few days I signed a new transfer of about ten SCALP missiles," Lecornu said.
The Minister noted that France should continue to strengthen the Ukrainian army even when hostilities stop.
Also, the French authorities, in particular, will continue the training of servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine at French training grounds.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Paris called for consideration of the deployment of Western troops in Ukraine after the end of the war.
It was also reported that France will not be able to fulfill its promise and allocate EUR 3 billion for military aid to Ukraine this year.
