This is stated on the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General's Office on Friday, October 25.
Prosecutor General Andrii Kostin noted that measures to prevent and counter abuse in prosecutor's offices are continuing.
"Five heads of regional prosecutor's offices and the head of one of the specialized prosecutor's offices in the field of defense wrote applications for dismissal from their positions. These are the heads of the Zaporizhzhia, Rivne, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Cherkasy regional prosecutor's offices and the specialized prosecutor's office in the field of defense in the Southern region. All of them received increased pensions in connection with the service of the years appointed by the court's decision," the message reads.
Currently, an official investigation is underway into whether the prosecutors have legally acquired the status of a person with a disability, as well as a review of the accrual of pension payments to them.
