Ukraine’s Foreign Ministry reminds Ashgabat of warrant for putin's arrest due to russian dictator's visit to Turkmenistan

Ukraine hopes for the realization of the leadership of Turkmenistan that the russian dictator putin is a war criminal for whom an arrest warrant has been issued by the International Criminal Court for the illegal forced transfer of Ukrainian children to the russian federation.

This is indicated in the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with putin's visit to Turkmenistan on October 11, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recalled that putin and his henchmen are responsible for genocide and war crimes against Ukraine, against humanity, which include murders, torture, rape, looting, shelling of civilian infrastructure and other atrocities of the russian occupiers.

"We call on all countries that value human life, respect international law and the UN Charter to refrain from holding joint events with the participation of Putin, who had unleashed a war in Europe on a scale not seen since World War II, and whose hands are up to the elbows in blood. We appeal to all states and the international organizations to make maximum efforts for the effective implementation of the President Zelenskyy Peace Formula as the only effective way to end Russian aggression and restore a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine and on the European continent,” the statement reads.

According to russian media, putin arrived on Friday, October 11, on a working visit to Turkmenistan.

In Ashgabat, the russian president will take part in the international forum "Interconnection of times and civilizations - the basis of peace and development", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet-thinker Magtymguly Pyragy.

It is known that putin has scheduled talks with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the President of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in August the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called on Mongolia to hand over putin, who had planned a visit there, to the International Criminal Court in The Hague.

On September 6, International Criminal Court prosecutor Karim Khan said Mongolia will have to explain why it ignored the warrant and did not arrest russian dictator vladimir putin.

On September 3, a Mongolian government spokesman said that the country was unable to arrest russian dictator vladimir putin because it is dependent on imports of russian oil products.

Recall that on March 17, 2023, the International Criminal Court issued a warrant for the arrest of russian dictator vladimir putin on charges of war crimes.
