Ukrainian Foreign Ministry condemns Iran's missile attack on Israel, urging to prevent start of full-scale war

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned the actions of Iran, which launched a massive missile attack on Israel on the evening of October 1. In just a few hours, the Islamic Republic launched more than a hundred ballistic missiles.

This is stated in a message published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on its official Telegram channel.

"We once again call on all parties to the Middle East conflict to prevent the conflict from escalating into a large-scale war, the consequences of which will be catastrophic," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry reminded that Ukraine has been resisting russia's military aggression for more than two years, to which Iran provides assistance by supplying weapons.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemned Iran for supporting the russian regime's war against Ukraine, stressing that these actions of Tehran destabilize both Europe and the Middle East.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the evening of October 1, it became known that Iran launched a missile attack on Israel. Initially, the mass media wrote about the launch of more than 500 ballistic missiles. Later, the Israel Defense Forces said that the number of missiles was slightly more than 180.

It will be recalled that US President Joseph Biden, having learned about Iran's missile attack, instructed American troops to help Israel and shoot down Iranian missiles.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called Iran's attack a "failure", stressing that air defense intercepted most of the missiles.
