Official list of legal bus stations will appear in Ukraine in November

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the creation of a list of legal bus stations.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Amendments to the resolution will allow the formation of an official and publicly available list of bus stations to begin. It will be formed based on the application principle and at the initiative of bus station owners. This mechanism is fundamentally different from the regulation that was in effect until 2020 and provided for the actual licensing of this activity... It should be noted that the specific legislation provides that the movement of interregional and international bus routes must start and end at the bus station. Therefore, when opening a new route or making changes to an existing one, the transport organizer must make sure that the bus stations indicated by the carrier in the traffic scheme exist and operate legally," says the message.

According to the message, the updated mechanism provides that it will be possible to indicate in the traffic scheme only those bus stations that are on the list.

"In this way, the information about the network of legal bus stations will be updated. Also, the updated mechanism will allow to determine the business entities that are their owners and are responsible for providing high-quality services. The public list is planned to be launched in November 2024," the message says.

According to the message, the owners of bus stations will be able to enter actual information about bus stations into it independently through an electronic form.

In particular, about the number of platforms and cash registers, the cost of services for carriers, etc.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, a state portal on regular international bus routes has been launched in Ukraine.
