France will deliver the first batch of rails to the Ukrzaliznytsia joint-stock company in January.
This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"As part of bilateral cooperation, a project to support Ukrzaliznytsia is ongoing. Thus, according to the previous contract, the French side is to supply 19,000 tons of railway rails, which will make it possible to update 150 kilometers of tracks. The first batch of deliveries is scheduled for January 2025," the statement says.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, France will finance the supply of rails for Ukrzaliznytsia in the amount of up to EUR 38 million.
Ukrzaliznytsia repaired tracks by 62% of the planned volume.
