North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un has called russia's full-scale military aggression against Ukraine a “sacred war of justice.” He made the corresponding statement during the visit of the russian military delegation to North Korea.
The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) has reported this.
It is reported that yesterday, July 18, a russian military delegation led by the new deputy minister of defense of the russian federation visited North Korea.
During the meeting, representatives of the DPRK and the russian federation discussed actions in the field of military affairs, which are allegedly necessary to protect the security and interests of both countries.
According to the North Korean dictator, the DPRK and the russian federation should “get united more firmly to dynamically lead the DPRK-Russia relations in the new era and play an important part in defending regional and global peace and international justice.”
Kim Jong Un called the full-scale military aggression of the russian federation against Ukraine a “sacred war of justice”, and also expressed the "DPRK government’s and people’s invariably strong support for and firm solidarity with them over the special military operations in Ukraine.”
Recall that in the second half of June, russia and the DPRK signed an agreement on mutual defense.
According to experts from the American Robert Lansing Institute (RLI), the agreement between the countries is designed to force the U.S. to focus its attention and resources both on Ukraine and on the Asia-Pacific region.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from August 2023 to January 2024, North Korea supplied russia with 74,000 tons of explosives, which is equivalent to the mass of 1.6 million artillery shells.
Previously, South Korean Defense Minister Shin Won-sik told Bloomberg that North Korea has provided russia with more than a year's supply of ammunition.
Let's add that at the end of June, South Korean media reported that the DPRK was allegedly going to send engineering troops to the occupied territories of Ukraine.
