Number Of New Covid-19 Cases Down 29.7% To 6,451, Number Of New Lethal Cases Down 40.4% To 93 On December 13 – NSDC

On December 13, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 6,451 over December 12 to 900,666, and the number of deaths increased by 93 over December 12 to 15,247; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 29.7%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 40.4%.

The National Security and Defense Council has said this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

According to the report, as at the morning of December 14, there were 900,666 laboratory-confirmed Covid-19 cases registered in Ukraine, the number included 15,247 lethal cases; besides, 506,718 people had recovered.

On December 13, a total of 6,451 new cases of the disease were recorded, 93 people died, and 5,154 people recovered.

Therefore, as at December 13, the indicator of newly-infected people was higher than the number of those, who recovered (6,451 vs 5,154).

The number of the active sick (only those sick) as at the morning of December 14, made 378,701 people, up 0.3% day over day.

Since the start of the epidemic, the largest number of coronavirus-infected people has been registered in the city of Kyiv (91,743), Kharkiv region (62,428), and Odesa region (58,283).

Besides, Lviv region has registered a total of 53,844 coronavirus infection cases, Dnipropetrovsk region – 49,535; Kyiv region – 49,044 cases, Zaporizhia region – 42,435, Ivano-Frankivsk region – 40,768, Chernivtsi region – 36,889, Rivne region – 36,262, Sumy region - 35,968, Khmelnytskyi region – 34,840, Zhytomyr region – 34,491, Cherkasy region – 31,607, and Ternopil region – 31,283.

A total of 29,660 cases have been registered in Donetsk region, 29,450 cases – in Poltava region, 28,246 cases – in Volyn region, 26,153 cases - in Zakarpattia region, 24,411 cases - in Chernihiv region, 24,099 cases – in Mykolayiv region, 19,866 cases – in Vinnytsia region, 14,207 cases – in Kherson region, 7,929 cases – in Luhansk region, and 7,225 cases – in Kirovohrad region.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on December 12, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 9,176 over December 11 to 894,215, and the number of deaths increased by 156 over December 11 to 15,154; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 28.4%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 35.8%.

On December 11, the number of newly-registered Covid-19 cases in Ukraine rose by 12,811 over December 10 to 885,039, and the number of deaths increased by 243 over December 10 to 14,998; at the same time, the number of new cases decreased by 5.2%, and the number of new lethal cases fell by 14.7%.
