Rada Abolishes VAT And Excise Tax For Electric Vehicles Until 2023

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has exempted electric cars from value added tax (VAT) and import excise tax until 2023.

A total of 252 parliamentary members backed respective bill No. 6776д interest periods, when 226 votes enough to pass the decision, the Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in the first ten months of 2017, sales of electric vehicles in Ukraine rose 3.27 times to 2,225 year over year.
