Rada Fails To Revoke MPs' Bill On Creation Of Anticorruption Court Again

The Verkhovna Rada has failed for the second time to revoke MPs' bill No.6011 on creation of the anticorruption court.

With 226 votes required, 144 lawmakers voted for this.

The proposal was made by Verkhovna Rada Chairperson Andriy Parubiy.

He noted that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had asked him to do so, as the President cannot register his bill on the creation of the anticorruption court before the withdrawal of bill No.601

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the European Commission for Democracy through Law (Venice Commission) calls on President Petro Poroshenko to table the bill on establishment of the Anticorruption Court that includes Commission's recommendations for consideration of the Ukrainian Parliament.

According to the rules, 226 votes are required to withdraw bill No.6011 from the agenda of the parliament's session.
