SBU Possesses No Documents Confirming Dual Citizenship Of Nasirov

The Security Service of Ukraine says it does not possess any documents confirming dual citizenship of Roman Nasirov.

The SBU told this to Ukrainian News Agency following an inquiry.

The SBU says it checked Roman Nasirov in August 2015 before providing him with access to the state secrets.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office said that Nasirov had British and Hungarian citizenships. Roman Nasirov, the suspended head of the State Fiscal Service accused of power abuse and inflicting losses of UAH 2 billion on the State, insisted of his innocence.

On March 7, 2017, the Solomyanskyi District Court of Kyiv issued a 60-days' arrest warrant for Nasirov and set a bail of UAH 100 million.
