PrivatBank Forms Board

PrivatBank has formed its Board.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the bank's press service.

Oleh Serheyev has been appointed as First Deputy Chairman responsible for the development of the system of servicing corporate clients, small business, for widening the micro-lending program for undertakers KUB, and cooperation with retailing chains.

Before, he was leading PrivatBank's Western regional directorate, holding managerial positions at other Ukrainian banks.

The risk management system will be under control of Oleksandr Dubrovin, who was Deputy Chairman of the Board at Ukrgasbank from October 2014.

February 2011 through November 2012, he was working at Terra Bank as Chief Financial Officer, and then as Deputy Director of the General Department of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) for Bank Supervision.

Oleksii Shaban has taken the lead of PrivatBank's retail business; he has been working at the bank for over 20 years; and in the recent years he has been heading the section of servicing VIP clients.

Serhii Kharytych, who has been working at PrivatBank's innovation laboratory since the moment of its creation, has been appointed as Member of the Board and the principal of the E-Business Centre and the section of dealing with Big Data.

Oleksii Berezhnyi has been appointed as Board Member responsible for the development of PrivatBank's security service, legal section and financial monitoring service.

Deputy Chairman Oleksandr Dreling will be responsible for the development of Back Office, information technologies and PrivatMarket.

Deputy Chairperson Halyna Pakhachuk will be heading the Treasury and overseeing the investment business.

Valentyna Yarmolenko has been appointed as the Chief Accounts; the Audit section will be led by Viacheslav Vetluzhskyi; Olha Khlynina remains the Chief HR Manager.

Mykola Scherbina remains the principal of the marketing and management section.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Ministry of Finance formed the Supervisory Board of PrivatBank on December 23.

It comprises: Francis Malige, Managing Director for Eastern Europe and the Caucasus at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD); Andrea Moneta, a Managing Partner at Apollo Management; First Deputy Minister of Finance Oksana Markarova; former Deputy Finance Minister Artem Shevalev; Stephen A. Seelig from the World Bank; Serhii Alekseyenko, an authorized representative for perspective projects at Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company; and Enging Akcakoca, a consultant at the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
