Parubiy Announces Savchenko Expulsion From Batkivschyna

Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy has announced that Member of Parliament Nadiya Savchenko has been expelled from the Batkivschyna All-Ukrainian Association faction.

He read out the faction's decision of December 15 at the session, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

After the Savchenko expulsion, the Batkivschyna faction is made up of 20 deputies.

Savchenko won the seat at the Rada on the Batkivschyna ticket under number 1.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Savchenko had quit the Batkivschyna party.

The party said that Savchenko was not coordinating her actions with the political force.

Batkivschyna expelled Savchenko on December 15.
