Turchynov Announce Testing Of Unmanned Aerial And Land Vehicles

The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Oleksandr Turchynov, has announced the testing of unmanned aerial and land vehicles at the Honcharivske military range in Chernihiv region.

The press service of the National Security and Defense Council announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"Unmanned equipment is a very important area of development of arms and military equipment for our Armed Forces. They allow performance of a wide range of reconnaissance and combat missions while preserving the lives of our troops, which is very important to us," the press service quoted Turchynov as saying.

According to him, creation of modern unmanned vehicles is one of the important areas of activities for Ukrainian defense enterprises.

In particular, according to him, the unmanned vehicle that was tested is a multipurpose mini-armored vehicle called Phantom, which was recently presented by the Ukroboronprom state defense concern.

"Its ability to accurately hit targets from a variety of positions, including while it is in motion, was tested today. We are happy with the results," Turchynov said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Turchynov's salary amounted to UAH 34,200 in for November while the salaries of his deputies ranged from UAH 39,400 to UAH 60,600.
