4 killed, 58 injured, damaged residential buildings: what is known about russian attack on Kyiv

As a result of the russian night attack on Kyiv on June 2, four people were killed and another 58 were injured. According to the city authorities, 40 injured were hospitalized, including two children. It was a combined attack: the enemy attacked the capital with ballistic missiles and drones.

This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that as of this morning, four killed and 58 injured were known. 40 people, including two children, were taken to hospitals.

In the Podilskyi district, the upper floors of a nine-story residential building were partially destroyed as a result of the impact. At least five people are known to have been injured. According to rescuers, people may be trapped under the rubble. Fires also broke out in a four-story building on the territory of one of the educational institutions, in a warehouse building and cars. Due to the fall of drone debris, the fire spread to other buildings.

In the Solomyanskyi district, fires broke out in an apartment on the 16th floor of a 20-story building, on the ninth floor of a 24-story building and on the territory of a private residential development. Rescuers unblocked the man.

In the Holosiivskyi district, the second and third floors of a medical facility were damaged. Cars also caught fire.

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris damaged the facade and roof of a nine-story residential building. The fire broke out in a non-residential three-story building, as well as on the fourth and fifth floors of a 24-story residential building.

In the Darnytskyi district, according to preliminary data, a fire broke out on the territory of a gas station due to falling debris from a UAV.

In the Sviatoshynskyi district, a fire broke out on the first floor of a five-story residential building and on the territory of a non-residential building.

In the Obolonskyi district, debris was recorded falling on the territory of two kindergartens.

As a reminder, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on June 1 that the aggressor country of russia may launch a massive air strike in the near future. The occupiers have completed all preparations for it.
