UK to speed up transfer of air defense systems after russian attack - Defense Secretary Healey
British Defense Minister John Healey has ordered the accelerated transfer of British air defense and anti-drone systems to Ukraine. He announced this on his X account on Thursday, May 14.
Healey emphasized that Britain stands in solidarity with Ukraine in the face of russian dictator vladimir putin.
"Shocking Russian drone attacks on Ukraine over the last 24 hours. I’ve directed for UK deliveries of air defence and counter-drone systems to be accelerated as fast as possible. We stand with Ukraine in the face of Putin’s aggression. Our thoughts are with Ukrainian families," Healey wrote.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on May 14, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that russia had deployed over 670 attack drones and 56 missiles overnight.
