Zelenskyy replaces leadership of SSU in Kyiv and three regions

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has replaced the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region, as well as in the Kharkiv and Kherson Regions. This is stated in decrees No. 334-339 dated April 22, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

Zelenskyy appointed the head of the SSU Directorate in the Kherson Region, Artem Borysevych, as the head of the SSU Main Directorate in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region, replacing Artem Bondarenko, who had held this position since August 2022.

Borysevych had held the position of head of the SSU in the Kherson Region since September 2022.

Zelenskyy appointed Volodymyr Vavrukh as the head of the SSU Directorate in the Kherson Region, replacing Borysevych.

The President also appointed Denys Lutii as the head of the SSU Directorate in the Kharkiv Region, replacing Oleksandr Kuts, who had held this position since July 2022.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January, Zelenskyy instructed the head of the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yevhen Khmara, to temporarily act as the head of the SSU after Vasyl Maliuk announced the end of his work as the head of the Security Service of Ukraine.

In January, the President appointed Oleksandr Poklad as the first deputy head of the SSU, replacing Serhii Andriushchenko. In February, Zelenskyy announced that he had instructed Poklad to deal with the issue of cleaning up the SSU.
