Ukraine to resume oil transit through Druzhba pipeline on Wednesday - Reuters
On Wednesday, April 22, Ukraine plans to resume pumping oil through the Druzhba pipeline. This is reported by Reuters, citing its own sources in industry circles.
The launch of the pipeline is scheduled for noon. According to available information, the Hungarian company MOL has already submitted the first applications for the transit of raw materials.
Oil is expected to be supplied in equal parts to Hungary and Slovakia. Technical services are currently preparing the infrastructure for the start of work after the supply interruption.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 20, the leader of the Hungarian Tisza party, Péter Magyar, who won the parliamentary election in Hungary, appealed to Zelenskyy to open the Druzhba oil pipeline.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also said that Ukraine had repaired the Druzhba oil pipeline, damaged by the russian strike, and was waiting for the European Union to unblock funding.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he was against the resumption of oil supplies from the aggressor country through the territory of Ukraine.
It was also reported that the EU would finance the repair of Druzhba: the resumption of transit will last up to 1.5 months.
