AFU Air Forces: russian terrorist forces launched 219 UAVs in Ukraine over past day and night: there are hits

Since the evening of April 17, russian occupants have attacked Ukraine with 219 drones, 190 of which were neutralized by air defense forces, but 28 attack UAVs were recorded at 17 locations.

It was informed by the command of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"According to preliminary data, as of 8:30 a.m., air defense shot down/suppressed 190 enemy UAVs of the Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones in the north, south and east of the country. We recorded 28 strike UAVs at 17 locations, as well as the fall of downed UAVs (wreckage) at 9 locations," the military said.

In particular, on the night of April 18 (from 6 p.m. on April 17), the enemy attacked with 219 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of attack UAVs from the following directions: Shatalovo, Bryansk, Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk - russia, Chauda - TOT of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

More than 1,150 of them were Shahed-type attack drones.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces.

"The enemy drone attack is still ongoing, there are several enemy UAVs in the airspace," the Armed Forces' Air Forces emphasized.

According to the Ukrainian News agency, 151 combat clashes were recorded on the russian-Ukrainian front over the past day.
