Russia strikes Kharkiv with ballistic missiles, damaging high-rise buildings and gas pipeline, injuring people

On the night of April 3, russian troops fired four ballistic missiles at the Kyiv District of Kharkiv. According to the mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the regional administration Oleh Syniehubov, several residential high-rise buildings were damaged, with windows smashed and a gas pipeline cut off.

A 63-year-old woman was hospitalized as a result of the shelling. Another resident, an 18-year-old girl, sought help for an acute stress reaction.

This attack was preceded by a difficult time: on April 2, the city suffered several waves of shelling, during which at least 11 hits were recorded.

A feature of the previous attack was the first use of jet drones by the russians. This new tactic significantly complicated the work of Ukrainian air defense. Although some of the drones were intercepted, one of the Shahed drones hit a residential building. This caused a large-scale fire on several floors, destruction of infrastructure, and injuries among civilians, including a child.

In general, over the past 24 hours, the strikes have been wave-like, with a focus on residential buildings and infrastructure in the Kyivskyi District.
