Russia strikes at Lviv city center, UNESCO heritage damaged - regional military administration
On the afternoon of March 24, russians attacked the central part of Lviv with drones. Preliminarily, a UNESCO World Heritage Site was damaged. At least two people are known to be wounded.
The head of the Lviv regional military administration Maksym Kozytskyi has reported this.
"The enemy continues to attack the Lviv Region. There is a hit in the central part of Lviv. According to preliminary information, the UNESCO heritage was damaged," the statement said.
According to the head of the regional military administration, at least two people were seriously wounded.
It also became known about a hit in the residential district of Sykhiv in Lviv - a high-rise building is on fire.
By data of Lviv Mayor Andrii Sadovyi, three locations were recorded as a result of the russian attack:
an apartment building in the center of Lviv,
an apartment building in Sykhiv, on Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue,
at the beginning of Bandery Street – preliminary, this is debris.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warned of a change in strategy of massive attacks by the russian federation and the possible use of missiles today, March 24.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, citing intelligence data, warned that russia was preparing a new massive strike against Ukraine. According to the Head of State, the aggressor is amassing forces for another wave of air terror.
