Russian propagandists have intensified an information operation aimed at disrupting the evacuation of civilians from the frontline territories of Ukraine. This is stated in a report by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCI) at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

It is reported that pro-russian Telegram channels are spreading messages allegedly from "local residents" of frontline cities in the Donetsk Region who "thank" the russian military and tell how they allegedly hid their children from evacuation. The Center discloses that such reports contain false allegations of "crimes during the Ukrainian evacuation," "disappearances of children," and even "black transplantation." At the same time, no evidence is provided for such allegations.

It is noted that the purpose of this information operation is to discredit the Ukrainian evacuation measures. With such manipulations, the aggressor country russia wants to intimidate people and force them to refuse to evacuate. The russian federation seeks to keep the civilian population of Ukraine in the combat zone as long as possible to use them as human shields."

"It is also significant that these fakes are trying to turn the reality around: it is Russia that systematically commits crimes related to the illegal removal of Ukrainian children from the occupied territories. For these actions, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for dictator Vladimir Putin and Russian Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova in 2023," the Center for Countering Disinformation emphasizes.
