According to the investigation, at the time of the terrorist attack, the girl was in Kharkiv. She acted on the instructions of the curator together with her accomplice. At the appointed moment, she called the police and read a pre-prepared text that unknown people had broken into the store.

When the patrol officers arrived at the store in Lviv, a homemade explosive device was remotely activated there. When a second crew of law enforcement officers and a National Guard infantry unit arrived at the location, another explosion occurred.

The investigation established that in January of this year, the girl began looking for "easy money" in Telegram channels and came under the attention of russian special services. For a false report of a "theft", she expected to receive USD 100.
