Ministry of Defense digitizes supply of military equipment
The Ministry of Defense has completed the launch of the Logistics Management System (LMS) for military equipment at the Logistics Forces Command and storage bases. The Ministry of Defense has announced this, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is noted that now the entire path of military equipment - from purchase to delivery to a military unit - goes through a digital system. We are talking about armored medevacs, armored vans such as Kozak and Novator, trucks, pickups, SUVs, cars, buggies, ATVs, motorcycles.
"In real time, you can check what equipment has been purchased, what has already arrived, and what has been shipped and received at storage bases. Previously, the transfer of documents and confirmation of issuance could take several days - now the documents are available immediately, and the movement of equipment is displayed online, which reduces the time required to provide units with equipment," the statement said.
Next, the system will be launched in military units performing combat missions.
The logistics system is based on SAP, a data-driven defense resource management program used by more than 90% of NATO armies, which allows real-time visibility of available resources, tracking their movement, planning supplies and making decisions based on up-to-date data.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, by the end of 2025, the enterprises of the Ukrainian Defense Industry Joint Stock Company increased the production of weapons and military equipment by one and a half times compared to the previous year.
