Halushchenko tried to leave Ukraine as father of many children - journalist Tkach

New details have emerged in the case of the detention of former head of the Ministry of Energy Herman Halushchenko, the official tried to cross the border using the status of a father of many children. This is reported by investigative journalist Mykhailo Tkach.

Despite the presence of legal grounds for departure, the detention still took place at the initiative of anti-corruption agencies.

MP Yaroslav Zhelezniak commented on the situation, noting that law enforcement officers had good reasons for stopping the ex-minister.

"Halushchenko has the right to travel abroad, because he has three minor children. They live not in Ukraine, but in Switzerland, but that's it. Therefore, there is no doubt here: if he was removed from the train, then it is obviously at the request of law enforcement officers. That is, NABU and SAPO," Yaroslav Zhelezniak explained.
