The next round of talks between delegations of Ukraine, the aggressor country of russia and the United States will be held on February 17-18 in Geneva (Switzerland). This was reported by the Ukrainian President's Communications Advisor Dmytro Lytvyn. His words were quoted by Ukrinform on Friday, February 13.
Lytvyn said that today the Ukrainian delegation is preparing for the next talks, which are to be held in Switzerland. The information about the upcoming meeting was also confirmed by the press secretary of the russian president Dmitry Peskov, the Meduza publication reported.
"A new round of trilateral talks between the delegations of russia, the US and Ukraine will be held on February 17-18 in Geneva. The russian delegation at the talks will be led by presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky," Peskov said.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on February 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had accepted the US proposal to hold another round of talks next week.
On February 7, President Zelenskyy stated that the US had proposed that Ukraine and russia conclude a peace agreement by the beginning of the summer.
On February 6, US Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent stated that further US sanctions against russia depend on peace talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.
