The Office of the President of Ukraine has never commented separately on the information about the person who acted as the Head of the Prosecutor General's Office after the dismissal of Andrii Yermak and before the appointment of Kyrylo Budanov to this position. The Ukrainian News agency has learned who was entrusted with the relevant functions, including personnel decisions.

As you know, the President's Office has been without a head since November 28, 2025, when Andrii Yermak was dismissed by presidential decree, and until January 2, 2026, when the head of the Defense Intelligence, Kyrylo Budanov, agreed to head the President's Office. That is, 35 calendar days.

In response to a request from the Ukrainian News agency regarding personnel rotations in the Office of the President of Ukraine on Bankova Street, among other things, it was reported that dismissals and appointments to positions in the Office of the President at the specified time were carried out through orders of the Chief of Staff of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to the official portal of the President of Ukraine, this position was held by Mariia Anatoliivna Vitushok at the time. Vitushok is not a public figure. It is almost impossible to find even her photo in open sources. However, in January 2021, Skhemy (Schemes) journalists recorded Maryia Vitushok, along with other high-ranking officials of the President's Office, the Administration of State Guard, and the State Bureau of Investigation, visiting a restaurant in Kyiv when it was supposed to be closed due to quarantine restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic. The official also left the premises without wearing a protective face mask.
