In October, russians dropped record number of KABs on Ukraine - Defense Ministry
In October, the aviation of the aggressor country russia dropped more than 5,300 guided aerial bombs (KABs) on the territory of Ukraine. This is more than in any other month since the beginning of the year.
The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported this today, November 4.
According to the ministry, in October, the russian invaders used 5,328 KABs. The strikes were carried out both on the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and on settlements in the frontline.
"This is the largest number of dropped KABs in a month since the beginning of 2025," the ministry emphasized.
The Defense Ministry added that since the beginning of the year, russian aviation has dropped about 40,000 bombs. This is the amount of ammunition used in the entire year of 2024, which indicates an increase in the intensity of air strikes.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on October 20, Vadym Skybytskyi, deputy head of the Defense Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, said that the russians started mass production of aircraft bombs capable of hitting targets at a distance of up to 200 kilometers.
A few days later, on October 24, the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, said that the occupiers for the first time used a KAB to strike the Odesa Region.
