Putin's delegation was forced to take suitcases with cash to Alaska to pay for plane fuel

Russian dictator vladimir putin's meeting with US President Donald Trump had to take suitcases with cash to pay for the fuel of their planes.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said this in an interview with NBC News.

According to him, due to previously imposed sanctions, russians cannot use the American banking system. Therefore, the russians had to take suitcases with cash to pay for fuel.

According to NBC News, the cost of refueling one plane could be about USD 85,000. To transport putin's delegation, the russians usually use at least three planes.

Rubio noted that this situation demonstrated that sanctions are not able to change the course of the war. This does not mean that the restrictions are ineffective, but it shows that they did not affect the outcome of the conflict.

This, in his opinion, confirms that new US sanctions against russia could prove decisive in ending the war, as some restrictions will only take effect in months or years.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last Friday, August 15, a meeting between Trump and putin took place in Alaska. It lasted only a few hours, and the leaders failed to reach an agreement on Ukraine.

Later, Trump said that he had agreed with putin to exchange Ukrainian territories. This must be accepted by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
