Klitschko suspends first deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has suspended first deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk from performing his duties during an official investigation. Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

"I signed the decision of the deputies regarding the first deputy head of Kyiv City State Administration Mykola Povoroznyk. I have made a decision to conduct an official investigation into the fact of an alleged "celebration". A legal decision must be made based on the results of the official investigation! The first deputy will be suspended from performing his duties during the investigation," Vitali Klitschko said.

The mayor emphasized that he will act according to the law and will not cover anyone up.

"I want to emphasize that we must all act in accordance with the law. The mechanism for appointing and dismissing the first deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration is clearly regulated by the law of Ukraine. And no matter how much someone tries to incite me to violate it, I will not do it. Just as I will not cover for anyone," Klitschko emphasized.
