Russia strikes critical infrastructure in Kherson, no gas in part of city

Russian troops shelled critical infrastructure in the city of Kherson on the night of June 23, as a result of the shelling, the gas network was damaged.

The head of the Kherson city military administration, Yaroslav Shanko, reported this on Telegram.

Thus, it is reported that part of the city was left without gas supply.

"Russian troops once again shelled the critical infrastructure of Kherson - the gas network was damaged. As a result, private and apartment buildings in part of the Korabelnyi District were left without blue fuel," Shanko said in a message.

The head also calls on residents to understand and reports that restoration work is already underway.

"I ask residents to be understanding and show patience - we are doing everything possible to restore gas supply as soon as possible," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukraine has pumped over 1 billion cubic meters of gas into storage, but stocks remain the lowest in 11 years.

Former CEO of the Gas Transportation System Operator of Ukraine (GTO) Serhii Makohon said that the historical minimum of gas in Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities is 2.02 billion cubic meters of active gas.
