"Energy truce" allowed russia to replenish supplies for attack on night of April 24 – British intelligence
The recent 30-day "energy truce" allowed the aggressor state russia to replenish supplies for a massive attack on the night of April 24.
It was reported by the UK Ministry of Defence.
Thus, on the night of April 23-24, 2025, russian forces fired at least 200 munitions, including kamikaze drones, at least 10 ballistic missiles (both russian and purchased from the DPRK), its latest Kh-101 air-launched cruise missiles and Kalibr ground-launched cruise missiles.
"This combination of munitions almost certainly sought to complicate and saturate Ukrainian Air Defence efforts, ," the report says.
It is indicated that the Kh-101 remains a missile that sets the pace for russian large-scale attacks.
According to the intelligence, the recent 30-day energy truce allowed russia to replenish stocks, which had previously been used only twice since the beginning of March.
"Rebuilding its stockpile enables LRA to sit ready to conduct strikes such as these withy little to no notice, at a time of Russia's choosing, as Russia continues normal strike operations," the intelligence agency summarized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of Thursday, April 24, the russian occupiers carried out a combined strike on Ukraine with various types of air-, land- and sea-based missiles, as well as Shahed strike UAVs and other types of simulator drones. The main target of the strike was the city of Kyiv.
On April 24, russia killed 12 Kyiv residents with a ballistic missile from North Korea, most of the components of which were manufactured by American companies.
