More is coming: Zelenskyy announces increase in number of proposals to participate in peacekeeping mission in Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced an increase in the number of proposals from leaders of various countries to send their military contingents to Ukraine as part of a possible peacekeeping mission.
According to Interfax-Ukraine, Zelenskyy said this during a press conference following the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing.
"There are many proposals from leaders, and there have been more of them <...> There are more such countries," the Ukrainian leader said.
According to him, the proposals concern both the dispatch of ground troops and ensuring support for a possible peacekeeping mission in the sky and at sea, as well as in the issue of air defense.
Zelenskyy added that a new meeting, previously announced by French President Emmanuel Macron, will take place in seven to ten days. It will present a basic strategy for the deployment of military contingents from other countries.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, today, March 27, a meeting of the Coalition of the Willing was held in Paris - a group of states that are ready to participate in ensuring the security of Ukraine after a possible ceasefire.
According to President Zelenskyy, the Coalition of the Willing is already working both politically and militarily.
And French President Macron said after the meeting that the countries from the Coalition of the Willing were instructed to prepare proposals for monitoring a possible ceasefire in Ukraine.
