Since the beginning of the current day, the number of combat clashes has increased to 99. The hottest is currently on two axes - Pokrovsk and Kurakhove.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has stated this in its evening operational update, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
It is reported that the russian occupiers continue to use aviation and artillery in the border areas of the Sumy and Chernihiv Regions. At the same time, the areas of the settlements of Volfyne, Zarichchia, Yanzhulivka, Rohizne, Bachivsk, Leonivka, Zhuravka, Pavlivka, Bilovody, Krasnyi Khutir, Basivka, Chuikivka, Mykolaivka and Liskivshchyna came under artillery fire, and the enemy hit Iskryvshchyna with MLRS.
According to information available at the General Staff, as of 4:00 p.m., enemy aircraft dropped seven guided aerial bombs on the territory of the Kursk Oblast.
On the Kharkiv axis, the russians stormed the positions of our units in the area of Starytsia, so far all enemy attacks have been repulsed.
At the same time, the russian army attacked the positions of the Defense Forces on the Kupiansk axis in the areas of Kucherivka, Petropavlivka and Kruhliakivka settlements 6 times, and received a decent repulse.
On the Lyman axis, the aggressor is trying to advance near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Torske, and Terny. In total, since the beginning of the day, 7 clashes have already taken place on this axis, 2 are still ongoing.
2 skirmishes are taking place on the Siversk axis near Bilohorivka, 1 enemy attack has already been repulsed by the Defense Forces.
On the Kramatorsk axis, the invaders carried out 1 assault operation near Klishchiivka. The enemy is actively using aviation, striking the areas of Minkivka and Pryvillia with aerial bombs.
On the Toretsk axis, the number of enemy attacks increased to 4. The enemy attacked near the settlements of Toretsk, Dyliivka and Shcherbynivka, where the defenders repelled 2 attacks, another 2 clashes are ongoing.
On the Pokrovsk axis, during the day, the aggressor carried out 24 attacks in Myroliubivka, Promin, Hryhorivka, Selydove, and Novooleksiivka districts. Ukrainian defenders restrained the onslaught and repelled 19 enemy attacks, 5 skirmishes are ongoing.
The situation is also tense on the Kurakhove axis, where since the beginning of the day the invader has attacked our units 39 times. Tried to advance near Illinka, Kreminna Balka, Novoselydivka, Novodmytrivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka and Katerynivka, carried out an air strike on Dachne, battles are currently ongoing in 21 locations.
On the Vremivka axis, our troops repelled 2 attacks in the areas of Trudove and Maksymivka. At the same time, 4 clashes continue near Trudove.
Ukrainian defenders are repelling an enemy assault in the direction of Novoandriivka on the Orihiv axis. Also, the enemy used bomber aircraft on Mala Tokmachka, Omelnyk and Vilnianka, dropping 8 guided aerial bombs, and struck Kamianske with unguided air missiles.
On the Dnieper axis, 2 attacks by the invaders were unsuccessful.
"There were no significant changes in other areas of the front," the General Staff summarized.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, the losses of personnel of the russian troops on November 5 increased by 1,250 to 702,900 people, and Ukrainian defenders over the day also destroyed 6 tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles and 20 artillery systems.
