Ukraine ups natural gas production by 2.3% to 9.4 billion cubic meters in H1, 2024

In January-June 2024, Ukraine increased natural gas production by 2.3% to 9.39 billion cubic meters compared to the same period last year.

Also, this indicator is 1.5% more than in the first half of 2022.

At the same time, the volume of production is 3.7% less than in the first half of 2021 - 9.75 billion cubic meters, before the full-scale invasion of russia.

In particular, UkrGasVydobuvannya produced 7.24 billion cubic meters of gross natural gas in January-June 2024, which is 8% more than in the first half of 2023.

The company's commercial gas production amounted to more than 6.91 billion cubic meters, which is 8.8% more than last year.

At the same time, Ukrnafta produced 584 million cubic meters of natural gas in 6 months of 2024, which is 8.9% more than in the first half of 2023.

Private companies, on the other hand, reduced the volume of natural gas production by 19% to 1.56 billion cubic meters.

Gross production of natural gas in Ukraine in June 2024 amounted to almost 1.55 billion cubic meters, which is 1.3% more than in June last year.

At the same time, the average daily gas production in June amounted to 51.56 million cubic meters, which is 0.8% or 420,000 cubic meters more than in May 2024.

It is noted that after a gradual reduction in production volumes in previous months, average daily production increased in June.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in the first half of the year, UkrGasVydobuvannya increased natural gas production by 8.8% to 6.9 billion cubic meters.

Naftogaz plans to extract 15 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2024 at the expense of the UkrGasVydobuvannya and Ukrnafta companies.
