Harris's approval rating to rise and overtake Trump in a few days – Politico
The debate between U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled for September 10.
It was reported by Politico on Wednesday, July 24.
The U.S. presidential debate is scheduled for September 10 and will be hosted by ABC News. Trump said he was open to engaging with Harris no matter what channel it was on, and that he "would be willing to do more than one debate actually." At the same time, the ex-president noted that the debate is important for the presidential race.
"I think if you’re the Democrat nominee or the Republican nominee, you really have an obligation to debate," Trump said.
Trump's staff released a memo from pollster Tony Fabrizio predicting a sharp jump in Harris' polls that would temporarily put her ahead of Trump. According to Fabrizio, this disparity will most likely start to show over the next few days and will continue for some time "until the race settles down".
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, after announcing his withdrawal from the presidential race, Biden approved the candidacy of Vice President Kamala Harris for the position of presidential candidate from the Democratic Party.
On July 21, Trump said that, in his opinion, Vice President Kamala Harris will be easier to defeat in the November election than the incumbent Democratic President Joe Biden.
At the same time, Harris was two percentage points ahead of the U.S. presidential candidate from the Republican Party, Donald Trump, in a national poll.
