Poroshenko Names Tuka As Luhansk Governor

President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Heorhii Tuka as chairman of the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration.

President Petro Poroshenko has appointed Heorhii Tuka as chairman of the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration, he has announced at a meeting with members of the region front lines.

Tuka was born on November 24, 1963 in Kyiv. In 1986, he graduated from the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, department of computer-aided control systems.

He was employed at various positions in the telecom industry.

He is a volunteer, coordinator of the People's Rear movement.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Poroshenko on July 15 dismissed Chairman of the Luhansk regional military-civilian administration Hennadii Moskal and appointed him as the Zakarpattia governor.
