Hryvnia Exchange Rate Strengthens By UAH 3.2 To 27.80 UAH/USD In Interbank Market

Since the beginning of 2015, the hryvnia rate has fallen by 72.99% from 16.07 UAH/USD to 27.80 UAH/USD in the interbank currency market.

USD on Friday, after falling by UAH 6 on Thursday, currency exchange market players told Ukrainian News.

According to them, the hryvnia rate fluctuated in the range of 30.70-32.40 UAH/USD at the start of trading, fell by 25.00-29.50 UAH/USD as of 13:00, and narrowed to 26.80-29.00 UAH/USD by the end of trading.

According to participants in the currency market, most of the transactions were concluded at an exchange rate close to 27.90 UAH/USD.

Under the NBU data, as at 16:00 a total of 160 deals were concluded for USD 151.24 million at the average weighted exchange rate of 28.0235 UAH/USD in the interbank.

Since the beginning of 2015, the hryvnia rate has fallen by 72.99% from 16.07 UAH/USD to 27.80 UAH/USD in the interbank currency market.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in 2014 the hryvnia rate decreased by 94.25% from 8.2730 UAH/USD to 16.07 UAH/USD in the interbank currency market.
