Yarosh Quits Right Sector, Intends To Create Sociopolitical Movement

According to Yarosh, Right Sector was created as a revolutionary unit and this revolution has not been ended.

Member of the Parliament, leader of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps Right Sector (Pravyi Sektor) Dmytro Yarosh (non-affiliated) has left the National Liberation Movement Right Sector and intends to create a new sociopolitical movement.

Ukrainian News learned this from a statement published on the Right Sector website.

"I, together with my team, am leaving the National Liberation Movement Right Sector. We are initiating the establishment of a new sociopolitical movement," the statement reads.

The new movement is due to call a constituent congress in February 2016, the statement says.

Yarosh stressed the new movement would be open for all patriots, in the first place, for Right Sector members and all patriots.

"The Right Sector movement, I think, has been the most vivid phenomenon in the Ukrainian society for the last two years. The most romantic and heroic pages of Ukraine's contemporary history are associated with Right Sector," Yarosh added.

According to Yarosh, Right Sector was created as a revolutionary unit and this revolution has not been ended.

He thinks Right Sector had accomplished its mission and should act as a national patriotic movement to unite all patriots of Ukraine.

"Without radicalism, at the edge of marginalization, but no liberal demagoguery," Yarosh described the new movement.

He emphasized the new movement would be opposed to the current government.

As Ukrainian News reported, Yarosh decided in November to head the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps Right Sector.
