U.S. Permanent Representative To UN Power Supposes Strengthened Sanctions Against Russia In Case Of Further Aggression Against Ukraine

Power recalled the UN Security Council had convened 43 meetings on the situation in Ukraine.

U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations Samantha Power supposes strengthened sanctions against Russia in case of further aggression against Ukraine.

She has said this meeting with the public at the International Center for Culture and Arts of the Trade Unions Federation of Ukraine (October Palace).

"If Russia further ignores the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and breaks the rules of international peace and security, the restrictive measures against her will be extended," Power noted.

She stressed the United States would support Ukraine in protecting its territorial integrity.

Power recalled the UN Security Council had convened 43 meetings on the situation in Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News reported, President Petro Poroshenko hopes for Ukraine's non-permanent membership in the UN Security Council.
