Foreign Ministry: All Procedural Points Aligned With RF Embassy For Visiting Two Detained RF Military

"All procedures have been reconciled when a note was sent onto the address of the Russian Federation's Embassy in Ukraine", he said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says all procedural points have been agreed with the Russian embassy for visiting the detained military servicemen of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation Alexander Alexandrov and Evgeny Erofeev, Ministry Ambassador-at-Large Dmytro Kuleba has told a news briefing.

"All [diplomatic] procedures have been reconciled when a note was sent onto the address of the Russian Federation's Embassy in Ukraine with all necessary data, and the RF consul knew from the very beginning whom to contact," he said.

As to Kuleba, on May 25 the Foreign Ministry officially informed Russia's Embassy on those Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officers who should be applied to visit the two apprehended military.

Thus, the Ambassador says there were no Foreign Ministry delays in the resolving of this issue.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the SBU promises to allow representatives of the Russian Embassy to the two arrested RF servicemen after all procedural points with the Foreign Ministry have been agreed.

The ATO forces detained Alexandrov and Erofeev during a battle near Schastia, Luhansk Region on May 16.
