NSDC Points To Absence Of Substantive Problems In Snap Parliamentary Election In Donbas

Meanwhile, separate ATO units in the front lines were not able to vote.

The National Security and Defence Council points to absence of substantive problems in Donbas in the course of snap parliamentary election, NSDC information centre spokesman Andrii Lysenko has told a news briefing.

"Thanks to well coordinated work of local authorities and the ATO [anti-terrorist operation] forces the election in Donetsk and Luhansk regions passed without substantive problems," said Lysenko.

In his words, separate ATO units in the front lines were not able to vote.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the Committee of Voters observes 36.06% voter turnout in the snap parliamentary election in Donetsk region.

Chairman of the Luhansk Region State Administration Hennadii Moskal says that 29% voters or 140,237 people have cast their ballots in the early parliamentary election as of 18:00, October 26.
