Russia Blocks OSCE Decision On Monitoring Vast Territory Of Ukraine-Russia Border Because Of Ceasefire Agreements Violation

He recalled that Russia had offered to expand the OSCE mission along the Ukrainian-Russian border in Donbas.

Russia blocked the decision of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on monitoring the vast territory of its border with Ukraine in Donetsk and Luhansk regions since the ceasefire declared in Minsk agreements had failed to be observed, Vitaly Churkin, Russia'sPermanent Representative to the United Nations (UN), said in the meeting of the UN Security Council.

He recalled that Russia had offered to expand the OSCE mission along the Ukrainian-Russian border in Donbas.

Churkin stressed the implementation of Minsk agreements provide sequential actions which had not been taken.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Great Britain has condemned Russia’sblocking the OSCE decision on monitoring the vast territory of Ukraine-Russia border.

The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine accuses Russia of hindering the expansion of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine in the anti-terrorist operation area.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine stressed on October 21 if Russia blocked the OSCE decision on monitoring the whole territory of the Ukrainian-Russian border, it would bear the responsibility for breaking the relevant provision of Minsk agreements.
